Allen Iverson, NBA icon for the benefit of Gawad Kalinga team in the All In basketball game.

Just last year, I had a rare opportunity to meet one of the NBA Icons. ( One of the most memorable highlights of my blogging career ) He is an American retired professional Basketball Player who played for four different teams ( Philadelphia 76ers, Denver Nuggets, Memphis Grizzlies and Detroit Pristons). during 14 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA) He played both the point guard and shooting guard positions. Iverson was an eleven-time NBA All-Star and won the All-Star MVP award in 2001 and 2005.

Iverson together with the Ball Up All Stars  scheduled to attend, a rare public appearance for the Pinoy basketball fans to showcase their athletic ability with the local selection of Philippine basketball legends and UAAP/NCAA players last November 5, 2014 held at the Mall of Asia Arena for the benefit of Gawad Kalinga.

This Charity basketball event is pitting coach allen iverson and the ball up all stars team ( Team Gawad Kalinga) VS Grandslam coach Tim Cone and team PCWorx (UAAP,NCAA,PBA and former NBA Stars Eddy Curry and DerMarr Johnson )

but before the main event happens in Mall of Asia Arena, they already had busy schedules lined up the whole week, speaking engagements, basketball camps, autograph signings, product endorsements, TV guestings and interviews and I am one of those who are lucky for an Insider Scoop for my BLOG – The VIP Meet & Greets that was held at Solaire Resort & Casino.

Guests and Media were allowed to ask questions and had a photo opportunity as well.
