Fortunately for Philippine scooter market, we are not going to wait for the future, but the future will be now with the introduction of the New Click 125i eSP”, says Elie Salamangkit Jr. – New Model & Accessory Development Manager of Honda Philippines.
The Click 125i presents an aggressive and sporty design with a sleek and innovative look based on the image of the new engine featuring cutting-edge technology and an exhilarating ride, while projecting a“slim & sharp” futuristic image”.
PGM-FI, a technology pioneered by Honda since the introduction of Honda CX500Turbo in 1982, the 1st in the world Fuel Injected Motorcycle is also used in this model. However, the innovation is not focused on the Fuel injection of this scooter. Every aspect that was developed in the Click 125i is Honda’s effort in providing products that delivers better benefits and exceeds customer expectations.
Honda’s dedication to provide the Joy of riding a motorcycle is clearly demonstrated in the use of the revolutionary HONDA SMART TECHNOLOGY.The Click 125i brings future technology to the present with cut-away innovations never seen before in the local motorcycle history such as Enhance Smart Power (eSP), Idling Stop System (ISS)and trendsetter Combined Brake System(CBS).
While it does not have a“sixth sense” and cannot predict your thoughts or where you want to go, the Click 125i, has its own version of eSP and knows what riders want from their scooters.
Honda’s eSP or Enhanced Smart Power is an advance engine technology that combines high power and high fuel efficiency with a quiet start and smooth eco-friendly engine.eSP technology is able to maximize the efficient combustion and minimize friction to reduce the risk of waste, and to optimize the energy out. eSP technology is integrated with the Unique Honda ACG starter that is able to start the engine jolt free and with a more refined sound, as well as the basis for the application of advanced feature Idling Stop System (ISS). The benefit of Honda Smart Technology isfurther optimized with the advent of technology Combi-Brake System (CBS) which balances braking the rear wheels and front optimally.
The Honda ACG starteris exclusively developed for comfortable frequent operation of the idling Stop System. The engine is started via the same AC generator used to generate electricity and charge the battery while riding. This eliminates the need for a conventional starter motor, thus there are no reduction gears and gear meshing noises… just smooth, quiet starts.
The PGM-FI built-in Liquid cooled engine boasts of 8.40 kW (11.4PS) @8500 RPM maximum power and 11.16 N.m @6500 RPM maximum torque and delivers class leading fuel efficiency of 64.3 km/liter at 50kph or 58.9KM/liter under ECE R40 testing method *<Actual fuel consumption may be higher or lower depending on drivers habit and actual driving condition>.
TheIdling Stop System (ISS) of the Click 125i is one of the reasons for its fuel efficiency. Compared to the conventional engine which continuously consumes fuel once the engine is started, ISS eliminates wasteful fuel consumption by automatically switching the engine off after 3 secondsin traffic lights and other brief stops; and when you have to move all you have to do is just to twist the throttle to Start up and Go in less than a second.
In addition, the New Honda Click 125i eSP also features dependable Honda Safety and Security features like standard automaticSide Stand Switch where the engine does not start up when in the down position, and Brake Lock easily operated to prevent the motor jump when started or remains in the idle state when stopped on a hill.Bigger tubeless tires for better traction and more secure feeling and comfort compared to other brands. Another excellent feature is the ever reliablesafety magnetic key (Magnetic Key Shutter) which effectively prevents theft and push-button seat opener. The New Honda Click 125ieSP also has the largest luggage capacity in its class at 18 liters which is capable of storing aFull-face helmet.
Image of thisFuturistic Super Sport Scooter is complemented by its Trendsetter LCD Meter Panel and class leading Dual Keen Eyes LED Headlight projecting a commanding “Night-Face-Image”.The LED headlight provides a better advantage for the rider through 80% higher light intensity, 80% more efficient power consumption, and longer lifetime.
Finally, the Adoption of a wide range of low-friction technologies and Excellent Combustion Efficiency of this engine ensures Click 125i’s better fuel efficiency and better total all-around performance.

Three industry leaders—Unilever, through its number one laundry brand Surf, Smart Communications and Cebuana Lhuillier—have renewed their commitment to champion environmental sustainability. With their shared mission to improve Filipino lives, the partners launched the third year of their Sachet Recovery Program. Through their joint efforts to create a process that is easy, convenient and rewarding, the program involves and educates more consumers about sustainability and waste recycling.
Unilever Philippines Chairman and CEO Rohit Jawa thanked their partners for their continued support in the endeavor to reduce the environmental impact of sachets. This, according to Jawa, is in line with the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan that aims to double their business while cutting their environmental footprint in half, and in the process, bringing a brighter future to one billion people worldwide.
“We owe the Sachet Recovery program’s success these past two years to the valuable contributions of Smart Communications and Cebuana Lhuillier. This year, their bigger participation will definitely produce greater results for the benefit of the environment and Filipino communities,” Jawa said.
Since 2013, the Sachet Recovery Program has been teaching proper waste segregation and recycling by encouraging millions of Filipinos to collect empty Surf sachets in exchange for free Smart texts at any Cebuana Lhuillier branch nationwide.
Unilever Philippines Vice President for Home Care Benjie Yap shared the achievements of the Sachet Recovery Program from the previous years. “In Year 1, we collected 4.5 million sachets, which we converted into 45,000 pavers. In 2014, we collected an additional 7.5 million empty sachets nationwide,” Yap said, adding that some of the pavers were readily donated to Barangay Union Coastal of Mayorga, Leyte and served as foundation to the environmentally-friendly laundry facility, Surf Labahan.
In 2015, the three industry leaders plan to make the Sachet Recovery Program bigger and better than the first two years. For every sachet surrendered in any of the close to 2,000 Cebuana Lhuillier outlets, consumers will receive 10 free texts from Smart. With this increased incentive, more people will be involved in and educated about recycling empty sachets.
“As we enter the third year of this worthy undertaking, Smart is expanding its support for this program. Starting this year, Talk ‘N Text and Sun subscribers will also be able to exchange their Surf sachets for free SMS. This opens the door to engaging millions more of Filipinos in this endeavor,” said Napoleon Nazareno, Smart Communications President and CEO.
Cebuana Lhuillier, on the other hand, will add newly-opened outlets to facilitate the redemption of Surf sachets. “Our growing branch network, which now totals close to 2,000 outlets, will provide a convenient way for millions of consumers nationwide to participate in the Sachet Recovery Program,” said Jean Henri Lhuillier, Cebuana Lhuillier President and CEO.
During the event, the partners also donated 7,000 cement pavers to the Mandaluyong Elementary School. The construction materials—made from hundreds of thousands of shredded empty sachets—will form pathways to improve school grounds and make walking around the school more convenient for students.

Literally meaning “the cage of mad women,” with folles being a slang term for effeminate homosexuals, La Cage Aux Follestakes asumptuous dip into the love story o fGeorges (played by TV and film actor Michael de Mesa), owner of a popular nightclub in Saint-Tropez, and his life partner Albin (played by veteran stage actor Audie Gemora) who is the club’s star attraction.
The press conference was also hosted by Steven Silva who i cant wait to see how he will nailed his performance. I also cant wait to see Rafa Siguion-Reyna plays a drag queen in the musical.

The daughter of the leader of the tradition Family and Morality. Set against the backdrop of the 70s and the French Riviera, a time when the gay revolution was high and nigh, the musical in which the Robin Williams’ Hollywood hit Birdcage was based on, has earned critical acclaimworldwide including the Tony and the Olivier through its many-storied glossy productions around the globe.
The musical is based on the 1973 French play by Jean Poiret and ignites when Georges’ son Jean-Michel (played by TV actor Steven Silva) brings home his fiancée’s ultra-conservative parents to meet him and Albin who he affectionately calls ‘mother.’ Mayhem erupts, role-playing and hilarity ensue, and family ties and personal beliefs are put to a boiler, leaving no feather unplucked and no sequin unpolished.

“We’re truly honored to have them onboard,” sharesInfante, adding that Repertory Philippines and theater stalwart Baby Barredo has opened her company’s costume trove to this production of La Cage Aux Folles. “We will be unearthing costumes from Rep’s 1988 production, and from other shows like M. Butterfly as well.” A visual tour-de-force and theatrical spectacle indeed!
Appearing alongside Audie Gemora, Michael de Mesa and Steven Silva are some of today’s most respected and up-and-coming theater performers.Theater veterans Raul Montesa and Sheila Francisco star as Jean-Michel’s ultra conservative in-laws Monseiur and Mademoiselle Edouard and Marie Dindon. and…As the summer season approaches and we all want to be ready for it in every way possible. From exercising for a “bora bod”, to renewing our passports, to buying a new swimsuit, we try to take care of the “dirty work” now so that later on we can march into the sun-filled season worry-free. But there is one thing that keeps women from throwing their hands up in the air like they just don’t care – underarm shame. Waxing, shaving and plucking underarm hair irritates the sensitive skin, resulting in dark underarms.
Dove Fact: 84% of women are unhappy with their dark underarms. As many as 31% of these women have admitted to skipping out on the beach due to underarm shame. No matter how much girls prepare, underarms are often left out until the last minute.
Every time you pluck, shave or wax, it damages the underarm skin, leading to irritation, which results in darkening. Many women don’t realize that the solution to smoother, whiter underarms is by giving your underarm skin superior care.
This is where Dove deodorant comes in. With its ¼ moisturizing cream, it makes the skin healthy and moisturized, lessening irritation and making the skin less likely to darken. Using Dove deo regularly helps make the dark spots in your underarms go away even faster. Dove deo works in two ways: it helps prevent underarm darkening, and it helps in the faster turnover of skin cells, resulting in whiter and smoother underarm skin.
There’s no better way to enjoy life’s pleasures than with confidence and a smile, and Dove provides women with safe, easy-to-use, and easily accessible tools to give them that assurance. Real beauty stems from real care, and Dove’s mild formulas are designed to give women the kind of skin care that they deserve.

I was so happy to be invited and witness the most exciting event happened last February 06 this year. opening its door to its first exhibition for 2015. entitled as Propaganda, The lopez Museum and Library partnered with Samsung Electronics Philippines Corp (SEPCO).
The exhibition fleshes out the idea of myth-making and its capacity to inspire change or derail genuine national progress. Featuring Samsung Smart TVs installed with a museum app called “Facets”, the exhibition combines traditional media with digital content resulting in a unique and immersive museum experience. It is an exhibition that challenges not just our notions of art and history, but also how we view museums and libraries.
Ricky Francisco, co-curator of Propaganda, said the exhibition was conceived to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II with Don M. Salubayba, 2009 CCP Thirteen Artists Awardee and one of the most promising artists of his generation.
Salubayba unexpectedly passed away during the planning process and the exhibition evolved to also be a tribute to him. The exhibition includes a few of his important works such as Pagsasabuhay, Abysmal Abound: Trinity of Passiveness, and his “anino-mation” (shadow puppetry animation) A Not so Giant Story (Legend of the Philippines) that have been sourced and borrowed with the help of Tin-aw Art Management.
Also featured are World War II posters, election-related archival materials, LVN movies still photographs, a collection of rare maps, Philippine imprints; a recreation of Santiago Bose’s 1983 installation Pasyon at Rebolusyon that has been reinstalled by Kawayan de Guia; commissioned works from social realist and Negros Occidental-based artist Nunelucio Alvarado; 2012 Thirteen Artists awardee Joey Cobcobo; and writer and Gawad Urian awardee film-maker Alvin Yapan.
Enriching the exhibit and re-framing the exhibition issues are works by 18th century masters Juan Luna and Félix Resurrección Hidalgo, along with those of national artists Fernando Amorsolo, Jose Joya, Cesar Legaspi, Vicente Manansala, and J. Elizalde Navarro from the permanent collection.
Co-curator Ethel Villafranca says that this exhibition invites visitors to “reflect on where we, as a country, have been and where we are going”.
Ultimately, Propaganda aims to engage the public, challenge them to see the connections in history and culture within the objects in the exhibition, and be more discerning when presented with information, whether political or otherwise.
Through Samsung Smart TVs and mobile devices, visitors will see ultra-violet scans of Juan Luna’s Espana y Filipinas, revealing details behind the painting; flip through digital copies of the library’s oldest books in its collections that date back to the 15th century; watch a video of the conservation process of these old books; and view several of Felix Resurreccion Hidalgo’s studies of Per Pacem Et Libertatem on a tablet device.
Propaganda will run from February 6 to May 30, 2015 and is presented with support from Samsung Philippines, Gourment Frams, Inc., Tin-aw Artists Management, the heirs of Doña Narcissa de Leon (LVN collection), and ABS – CBN Film and Media Archives.
